Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic planning, design, and implementation of health programs, ensuring alignment with the organization’s goals and community needs.
  • Supervise and mentor a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, providing technical guidance and capacity building.
  • Ensure programs are delivered in accordance with donor requirements, timelines, and budget constraints.
  • Collaborate with local health authorities, community leaders, and other stakeholders to ensure culturally appropriate and accessible healthcare.
  • Implement quality assurance measures to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of health interventions.
  • Develop and oversee program monitoring and evaluation (M&E) frameworks, ensuring accurate data collection and reporting on health outcomes.
  • Provide regular reports to the Program Director and donors, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and lessons learned.
  • Identify training needs and provide capacity-building initiatives for local health workers, staff, and partners.
  • Facilitate workshops, seminars, and knowledge-sharing events to promote best practices in healthcare delivery.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in health program management, preferably within the NGO sector or in low-resource settings.
  • Experience working in humanitarian emergencies, development contexts, or with vulnerable populations.
  • Proven track record in managing multi-donor-funded health programs, including budgeting and reporting.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of public health issues, health system strengthening, and community-based health interventions.
  • Excellent project management skills, including program design, implementation, and M&E.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including donor reporting and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to work in cross-cultural environments and remote settings.
