Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies to engage local communities in our programs and initiatives. Organize and attend community events, town hall meetings, and workshops to promote the organization’s work and mission.
  • Recruit, train, and manage volunteers for various projects and events. Ensure that volunteers are appropriately matched with roles that suit their skills and interests.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community organizations, schools, local businesses, and other stakeholders to foster collaborations that enhance our impact.
  • Coordinate and support community engagement events, fundraising initiatives, and volunteer appreciation activities.
  • Serve as a primary contact for community inquiries, providing information about the organization and addressing questions or concerns. Work with the communications team to create outreach materials and social media content.
  • Track community engagement metrics, including volunteer hours, participation rates, and event attendance. Prepare regular reports to demonstrate the impact of community involvement.
  • Act as an advocate for the organization’s mission and values within the community, raising awareness of key issues and fostering a sense of collaboration.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Nonprofit Management, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in community outreach, volunteer management, or a similar role within the nonprofit sector.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse communities.
  • Experience in event planning, volunteer coordination, and partnership development.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems and project management tools is a plus.
