Job offer: Database Administrator

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain database systems (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, etc.) to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Apply patches, updates, and fixes to ensure database security and stability.
• Perform regular database tuning and optimization to ensure high availability and peak performance.
• Implement and maintain security protocols to protect sensitive data, including user access controls, encryption, and auditing.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal security policies, including data protection and disaster recovery requirements.
• Design and implement efficient backup and recovery strategies to safeguard against data loss.

Qualifications

• 4-5 years of experience as a Database Administrator
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Expertise in systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or MongoDB.
• Knowledge of backup tools such as RMAN (Oracle), SQL Server Backup, or MySQLDump.
• Familiarity with tools for database optimization, like Explain Plans, Query Optimizers, and Indexing techniques.
• Ability to write scripts in languages like Bash, PowerShell, or Python to automate database tasks.
