Responsibilities
- Coordinates site inspections to verify project quality requirements for construction at the site.
- Ensures company participation in site inspection and testing activities.
- Directs and coordinates site Quality Control (QC) inspection personnel.
- Monitors and verifies the key elements of flawless execution for robust project completion and turnover.
- Conducts inspection points (IPs) for all E/M site works, Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
- Conducts company construction quality verifications in accordance with approved ITPs.
- Prepares method statements for electromechanical works, including risk assessments in coordination with safety officers.
- Verifies the completeness and correctness of ITPs, ITRs, check sheets, and deliverables.
- Reviews and provides comments on contractor's construction and quality procedures.
- Participates in contractor's site quality audits and project-specific quality orientation and training.
- Interfaces with the contractor to verify the material preservation program.
- Promotes and monitors quality processes such as deficiency reporting and corrective action reporting.
- Conducts construction assessments to verify the contractor's quality management system compliance with project specifications.
- Prepares quality performance metrics and KPIs related to QA/QC activities.
- Provides input to the company's lessons-learned process.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in QA/QC roles within the construction or electromechanical industries.
- Hands-on experience in site quality inspections, testing, and verification processes.
- Proficiency in preparing and reviewing Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Inspection Test Records (ITRs), and method statements.
- In-depth knowledge of Non-Destructive Examination (NDE), Flange Management, and Preservation and Surface Preparation standards.
- Familiarity with construction quality processes, including Deficiency Reporting, Specification Deviation Requests, and Corrective Action Reports.
- Willingness and ability to travel to project sites as required.
