Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Manage bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities, collaborating with departments to provide financial insights.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations and reporting requirements.
- Assist in preparing tax filings and coordinate with external auditors during audits.
- Monitor and review expenses, revenues, and other financial data for accuracy and completeness.
- Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and systems.
- Maintain organized financial files and documentation, ensuring adherence to record-keeping policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in accounting or a related role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations (GAAP or IFRS).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
