Responsibilities
- Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Assist in the preparation of financial documentation for grants and other funding sources.
- Support the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor budget performance and report variances to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Track and manage financial aspects of grants, including budgeting, reporting, and compliance with donor requirements.
- Prepare financial reports and statements for grant proposals and audits.
- Ensure that financial activities are compliant with the organization's internal policies, nonprofit accounting standards, and relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with audits, both internal and external, and provide necessary financial documentation.
- Process invoices, expense reports, and payments in a timely manner.
- Ensure accurate tracking of all incoming donations, grants, and revenues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in nonprofit finance or accounting.
- Strong knowledge of nonprofit accounting practices, including fund accounting.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong ethical standards and commitment to the mission of the nonprofit sector.
