Job offer: Highway Design Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Independently creates and/or oversees the development of engineering products that fulfill customer quality standards.
• Identifying the issue, outlining the scope of work, preparing the budget and timeline, planning the tasks, offering technical guidance, and updating on the status of the work.
• Prepare detailed calculations and drawings, develop procurement documents and design/installation packages, conduct proposal assessments, create technical reports, and perform in-depth analyses to support project objectives.
• Offers assistance for additional engineering activities as needed.
• Offers input and technical guidance to CAD designers/drafters, designers, and junior engineers involved in the same project.
• Carries out additional responsibilities related to this position as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4+ years of experience in highway design, with a strong understanding of highway design software.
• Proficiency in using AutoDesk Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and Bentley MicroStation is essential, with a preference for experience in Bentley OpenRoads.
• Ability to utilize computer technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports, and operate any project-specific engineering and construction-related software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal abilities, and a proven capacity to interact effectively with project teams.
