Mission
The Dana and Al-Qadisiyah Local Community Co-operative was formed by the local community to protect its culture and natural heritage. It seeks to preserve the community's distinctive qualities while supporting sustainable development.

Projects funded by the Co-operative include: funding school fees for local children; encouraging and assisting local youth to continue their studies at university; providing vocational training; employing local youth; providing computer and English language classes for the local community; providing a subsidized minibus service for

The Dana Hotel is situated in the heart of Dana Village. It is managed by the Local Co-operative and is the only hotel in Jordan run directly by the local community. All profits from the hotel go back to the people of Dana Village. (Dana Village is a unique and charming, centuries-old stone village that is being restored by the Local Co-operative.)

Breakfast is included in the price of the room. The hotel can provide lunch boxes and offers a nightly dinner buffet of traditional Bedouin food.

Products Whether you are planning to stay in the area for just one night or a few days, you will find that the Dana Hotel is an ideal stopping place.

Explore the largest nature reserve in Jordan. Dana Nature Reserve is home to many endangered species of flowers, birds and animals. It is dotted with archaeological sites and there are many hiking trails within the Reserve. Please note that some trails require guides. The hotel staff has a wealth of local knowledge and can advise on trails and arrange guides, or arrange for you to explore the Reserve on horseback (led by a local Bedouin villager). At the end of your day's exploration, Dana Hotel's roof top provide a comfortable resting place to sip complimentary tea and watch a beautiful sunset.

Alternatively, Dana Hotel is an ideal place to rest and relax for a day or so. Take either a leisurely stroll or a guided walk around the village; chat to locals and learn some Arabic; visit the jewellery workshop and soap factory; and sit on the roof top, taking in the sights and sounds around you.
