SPIC is the first non-woven fabric producer in the Middle East. The plant, originally located in Sahab, began work in 1988 but has since moved to Thuheibeih in south Amman. SPIC manufactures the raw material used for diapers, adult incontinent products and medical disposables along with other products such as AGRI covers and ADL, Acquisition Distribution Layer. The factory is built on 5,550,000 square meters of land; the new plant has a total area of 22,000 square meters which will expand into an industrial complex for operations and equipment. SPIC's current output is around 7,500 tons annually of which 85% is exported to Middle Eastern, Asian and European countries.
